Single loop automated layout with working Signal and Level Crossing. Along the Windmill and pub.
Displaying again with the Plymouth Brick Railway.
Single loop automated layout with working Signal and Level Crossing. Along the Windmill and pub.
A larger automated loop layout similar to what was displayed at Bricktastic 2026, just slightly smaller and won't include the bridge.
The same automated layout features, but with new elements including Highley Station, a bridge and a large tunnel/hillside section.
Size: Approx 3.6m by 3.3m/12ft by 11ft
Another outing with the Plymouth Brick Railway on their collaborative layout. A slightly larger corner section this time round.
Size: Approx. 3.5m by 2.5m/11.5ft by 8ft
Returned to the show that first had the modular layout on show, new for this year is the automatic signal and level crossing gates (adapted from my previous layouts to work on the modular layout).
Size: Approx. 3.5m by 1.5m/12ft by 5ft
I am joined up with the Plymouth Brick Railway team on their collaborative layout.
Using my modular layout elements reconfigured into a three road track section
Size: Approx. 1m by 2m/3.25ft by 6.5ft
The fifth outing for the automated turntable and engine shed layout.
Size: Approx. 200cm by 60cm/6.5ft by 2ft
Planning to be a similar layout to Copnor Bricks 2025, but with an automated level crossing, a Spitfire and a vintage Air Traffic Control Tower!
Size: Approx. 180cm by 150cm/6ft by 5ft
A smaller layout for a smaller show. I've gone back to the original automation system, but using new motors for a signal, and using the colour sensor inside the train. There are new scenic bases for the windmill, barn and pub.
Size: Approx. 180cm by 120cm/6ft by 4ft
The fourth outing for the automated turntable and engine shed layout. A new locomotive is 'on shed', a Southern region Q Class. The only other change is the sunflowers have been amended with a new flower part new this year, along with increasing the amount of them.
Size: Approx. 200cm by 60cm/6.5ft by 2ft
This was the first event where I included a scenic base for a building (the church) on the modular layout.
With the show being in December, I added a few Christmassy bits: a Snowman, a Christmas Tree and Father Christmas on a chimney.
Size: 12ft by 6ft
A similar double loop automated layout
As this was on Remembrance Sunday, I included a War Memorial with poppy wreaths.
Size: 12ft by 6ft
The first outing of the double loop PyBricks automated layout, using a modular structure. It uses several elements of my previous layouts, including station buildings, church, pub, farm and windmill. Size: 12ft by 5ft
I also took the turntable layout as a second exhibit. After this show I decided to not take two automated layouts to a show - it's a bit too much hard work!
A second outing of the turntable layout.
The first outing of my automated Turntable and Engine Shed layout, the public could trigger a random movement of a locomotive from the engine shed or coaling stage on to the turntable, which would then turn and the locomotive would either have been turned round or put into a new track section.
I also displayed several of my trains and the countryside static section.
Another static display of the countryside section from my extended branch line layout.
A small double loop layout running a couple of trains, with some of the buildings and vehicles from my previous layouts.
A rework of my previous branch line layout into a passing loop station, using the countryside section to continue hiding some of the storage sidings and the original level crossing. Included a new station, a Post Office, Garage and working Windmill.
A static display of the countryside section from my extended branch line layout.
An extension of the branch line layout, with the storage sidings covered with a countryside scenic section including a Farm, Pub and Church.
After not display at any LEGO shows for about 10 years, I came back with a bang with this one. My first attempt at an automated railway layout using Powered Up components. A branch line featuring twin platforms, a good siding with a Goods Shed and a three road storage siding.
